The Yancey Fund

Blue Ridge Partnership for Children was awarded $6,090 for the Yancey Alliance for Young Children Parenting Support and Advocate Programs.  Photo courtesy of Blue Ridge Partnership for Children.

The Yancey Fund (YF) seeks to improve the quality of life in Yancey County by promoting charitable giving and supporting projects that benefit the communities and residents of Yancey County.

The Yancey Fund provides grants between $2,500-$10,000 for charitable purposes, including programmatic and capital needs, as well as equipment and technology.  At its discretion, the YF Board may also consider grant requests for greater or lesser amounts. Projects should be completed within one year of receipt of grant funds.

Requests that exhibit the greatest community benefit (including those addressing people in need; early childhood development; natural and cultural resources; or food and farming) will be given the highest consideration.

If an organization other than the applicant will benefit from the grant, then the applicant should include a letter of endorsement from that organization.

Projects should be completed within one year of the award.
