Recession Response Fund Emergency Assistance & Operating Grants

Emergency relief and operating funds to support human services and economic development organizations addressing basic needs services including food, shelter/housing, heating and utility assistance, medical/mental health and employment issues exacerbated by the recession.

Deadline

The last application deadline for 2009 was September 1.
 

Eligibility

We welcome grant applications from nonprofit organizations that are tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the IRS code. Public agencies and churches are also eligible. To be considered for funding, a nonprofit organization must be located in or serving one of these western counties of North Carolina :

Avery, Buncombe, Burke, Cherokee, Clay, Graham, Haywood, Henderson, Jackson, Macon, Madison, McDowell, Mitchell, Polk, Rutherford, Swain, Transylvania and Yancey.
