Establishing a Fund

Organization Funds

The Community Foundation's mission is to promote regional philanthropy and develop community capital. We fulfill this mission by creating endowments, which generate a source of permanent income for charitable organizations. We provide local charitable organizations with expertise in administration and investment management for their endowment funds.

An organization fund can be established by the organization or by an individual donor for a specific entity. More than 130 organizations across Western North Carolina have funds managed by The Community Foundation.

An initial gift of $25,000 can establish an organization fund. Additional gifts to the fund may be made in any amount.
