Friends of all ages remember Chuck as a person of impeccable character who loved life and had a beautiful smile; he could turn any situation into the happiest moment, just by being himself. Chuck, who thought more about other people and less about himself, considered his family and friends as the most important assets of his life.
Tuscola High School was very important in Chuck’s life and that of his family. While at Tuscola, he was a member of the marching band and the Key Club, and was nominated “best personality” by his classmates. His siblings, Vicki and Douglas, both graduated from Tuscola; his mother, Robbie Hargrove, taught at the school for eighteen years. It was their hope that the Chuck Hargrove Memorial Scholarship would offer support and encouragement to future graduates of Tuscola High School.
One scholarship will be available to any graduating senior of Tuscola High School.
The Community Foundation scholarships will be awarded without regard to age, race, national origin, ethnicity, gender, disability, sexual orientation, political affiliation, religious belief, or any other characteristic protected by law.
